# Card errors

> The error body, and every error the card API returns

Errors use the standard Endl error body: `errors[].code` is an `ERRCRD_` code, and
`field` names the request field when one is at fault.

```json 404 theme={null}
{
  "code": 404,
  "message": "Card not found",
  "status": "ERROR",
  "data": null,
  "errors": [ { "code": "ERRCRD_...", "message": "Card not found", "field": null } ]
}
```

> [!WARNING]
>
> **The `ERRCRD_` code numbers are not final yet**, so they are not listed here — don't
> hard-code a code number. See [Not final yet](https://docs.endl.io/api-reference/cards/introduction.md#not-final-yet).
